Arcona 340
Quality with no compromises!
The Arcona 340 has successfully captured the hearts of many owners. Nominated in the category Performance/Cruiser for the European Yacht of the Year 2010, the Arcona 340 has since shown success in many races and is a joy to helm. “She can be successfully campaigned on the regatta circuit, whilst remaining a truly stable, as well as luxurious, boat to live aboard when taking the family for a more relaxed cruise.” – Sailing Today, January 2010
The layout provides a forward cabin with plenty of room and a sizable clothes locker each side of the dressing area, with more stowage beneath the berth. The saloon has an L-shaped galley, with plentiful stowage and a generously sized sink and fridge; a smoothly rounded chart table; a twin leaf saloon table, and long straight settees capable of seating six in comfort to dine as well as providing two excellent sea berths on the move. The heads are spacious with a shower; a deep sink, wet locker, and easy internal access to the cockpit locker through a sliding door. One aft cabin with a very large double berth, plenty of lockers and shelves, plus stowage under the berth.
The Arcona 340 matches the quality and ambience of our other performance yachts. The rich Khaya Mahogany interior, owners’ choice of fabrics, white headlining, and plenty of ports and hatches provide light, good ventilation and unrivalled comfort.
Like all Arcona models, the Arcona 340 is built with the latest materials and advanced techniques. Her lay-up, which incorporates a 20mm Divinycell foam core employs the latest vacuum infusion technology. All bulkheads are bonded to the hull and deck for added strength.
Fitted with a powerful fractional rig, the Arcona 340 sports a tapered, twin spreader, keel-stepped mast. Tie bars take the rig loads down to the galvanised steel frame, removing any stress on the hull. For strength and stability, the bulb keel is made of antimony hardened lead.
Comments
“The Swedish builder Arcona has been producing award-winning sloops for over 40 years, though the first Arcona arrived in U.S. waters only a couple of years ago. I suspect it won’t be long before the company is a force to be reckoned with. The Arcona 340, in particular, is a true head-turner, one of those boats that just look right, even tied up at a dock.” – Adam Cort, Sail Magazine, 2011
“Arcona 340 is a joy to helm; the views forward are clear, the helm positions comfortable and the steering system is as good as it gets… …she clearly has Arcona genes, looking both mean and beguiling at the same time, like Angelina Jolie.” – Chris Beeson, Yachting Monthly, January 2010
