New Home for Arcona Yachts Production

12/07/24

Arcona Yachts production of the Arcona 435 Mk II, the Arcona 465 and the Arcona 50 is moving to Henån, on the island of Orust, Sweden. A move that further strengthens Arcona which is owned by Orust Quality Yachts (OQY) Group, and logically consolidates production of both the larger Arcona Yachts and Najad Yachts of Sweden on the site also owned by Group.

In November 2022, the Group bought the service and maintenance yard, Orust Yacht Service AB in Henån, including the company’s production, joinery, paintshop, harbour facilities and indoor winter storage facilities. Orust Yacht Service is among one of northern Europe’s largest and most respected service, repair, and maintenance yards for sailing boats. Given the acquisition, Najad moved production back to Henån, where Najad were formerly located, and Arcona now joins them too. For all brands it means that they can fully leverage the experience and knowledge that exists from the boatbuilders and the strong boatbuilding heritage on Orust.

Fredrik Malmqvist – Arcona Yachts CEO said:
“We’re delighted that Arcona is moving to Henån. The production knowledge, skills and quality that the Group has from Arcona, Najad and Orust Yacht Service on one site will enable future scaling for all of the brands. We now have all we need for future growth. With Arcona and Najad production on the same site as Orust Yacht Service, we will be able to provide a service and maintenance scheme too that few others can offer which will improve the experience of owning a yacht built by us.”
